Document Checklist 


Step 1 Grant Reservation Request Form

  1. Review program requirements. Complete program regulation can be found on the Delaware Public Advocates web site.

  2. Select program qualifying technology. The Green Energy Program offers rebates qualifying geothermal, photovoltaic, solar water heating and wind turbines.

  3. Select a retailer or installing contractor. The choice is yours, the Delaware Energy Office does not recommend contractors.

  4. Complete and submit the Reservation Request Form and all required documentation. Your contractor and/or retailer will complete this form with you. The energy Office will review this information and determine the projects eligibility.

  5. Required Documentation Checklist

  • Completed and Signed Reservation Request Form
  • Copy of Project Estimate, Purchase Order or Letter of Intent
  • Copy of recent Conectiv Power Delivery electric bill
  • System Schematic
  • Manual J calculation or equivalent (Geothermal Only)
  • Plot and/or Roof Diagram

Step 2 Grant Confirmation and Claim Form

  1. Upon approval of your Grant Reservation Request Form, the Delaware Energy Office will send you a  Grant Confirmation and Claim Form.
      

  2. Obtain appropriate building permits for your location.
      

  3. Contact Conectiv Power Delivery and complete interconnection requirements if applicable. 
      

  4. Install system as described in Rebate Reservation Request Form. Please notify the Energy Office in writing of changes to your original request, failure to do so may cause delay in processing or forfeiture of application. All systems must conform to all program requirements. 
      

  5. Read, sign, and submit Rebate Confirmation and Claim Form with detailed description of any changes from original application. 
     

  6. Required Documentation Checklist

  • Signed and Completed Rebate Confirmation and Claim Form

  • Copy of completed Conectiv Power Delivery Interconnection Agreement, if applicable.

  • Approved Copy of Building Permit

  • Copy of final sales invoice (Invoice must include: actual price paid, itemized list of components and cost, labor, permits and fees, method of payment by the purchaser.

  • Copy of Warranty Agreement

  • Copy of owners Manual


Step 3 Energy Office Final Review

  1. Upon receipt of your completed Grant Confirmation and Claim Form, the Energy Office will evaluate your completed project application. 
     

  2. The Energy Office may wish to inspect your system prior to approving rebate. 
    A representative from the Energy Office may contact you to arrange an onsite visit prior to approving rebate.
     

  3. The Energy Office will process a completed Grant Claim with all supporting documentation within 30 days of receipt of the Grant Reservation and Claim.
