Taking Control of Energy Costs!
Mid-Atlantic Energy Management Workshop

Delaware, Maryland and Virginia state energy offices, with participation from Delaware and Philadelphia Million Solar Roofs Partnerships sponsored a regional energy management workshop on Tuesday, May 20, 2003.

Developed in concert with the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers and The Sustainable Development Fund, this learning forum drew 80 commercial energy managers, facilities managers and design professionals from five states. This audience heard regional energy experts discuss alternative energy and energy conservation opportunities for large facilities.

"This was an unbelievable workshop," said Stephen Miller, DOE/Philadelphia. "We were able to reach out to a new group of interested folks, all of whom were excited and enthusiastic about the potential for renewable technologies in their projects," said Miller.

For more information about this or future workshops, email Sandra Burton, or call at 302/325-0240 OR email Steve Miller, or call at 215/656-6961.

Taking Control of Energy Costs!  addressed issues important to design professionals, facilities and commercial energy managers. The workshop delivered information on regional resources that can make their buildings more energy efficient and energy independent. Expert presenters provided energy professionals with information on energy efficient and renewable energy measures while offering tools to help finance projects.
